Luminate Film & TV by Luminate offers plans for multiple budgets and use cases. Customers can sign up for a Luminate Film & TV Discovery account and pay monthly or annually. For multi-user Luminate Film & TV Discovery accounts please contact customer service. Likewise, please contact customer service to sign up for our premium service, Luminate Film & TV Expand.

Do you charge my credit card during the free trial?

Your credit card will not be charged until the end of the trial period. Following the end of the trial period, the card will be charged the monthly or annual membership fee until the account is canceled. During the trial period, your credit card is used to authenticate your account and as a source of payment to continue access to Luminate Film & TV following the trial. If the account is canceled before the end of the trial period, the card will not be charged.

Can I change from yearly to monthly (and vice versa)?

Monthly users can upgrade to yearly at any time by contacting support. Yearly users can downgrade to monthly following the expiration of their annual subscription date.

Can I upgrade to expand?

Can I downgrade to Luminate Film & TV Discovery?

Yes! Please notify customer support of your intent to downgrade to Luminate Film & TV Discovery. Expand customer agreements require 60 days notice to downgrade or cancel prior to the agreement auto renewal date. Once your agreement expires you can downgrade your service to the basic tier.

Can I cancel my membership?

We will be sorry to see you go, but canceling is easy. Simply, login to your account and visit My Account in the top right corner of the page. From My Account click on Manage My Subscription and follow the prompts to cancel.

If I cancel, do I get a refund?

You will not receive a refund when you cancel your account. Your access will continue through the end of your billing cycle and your card will no longer be charged going forward.

Can I add team members to my account?

The more users, the greater the discount. Please contact customer support for more information.

Where do you source your data?

Our team of analysts reach out directly to studios, networks and streamers to verify programming slates and to talent representatives to verify client lists. Our data is not crowd sourced. As part of a global media organization, Variety Insight by Luminate is able to leverage official press releases and other information released by media companies.

How long has Luminate Film & TV been around?

Luminate Film & TV started as TVtracker.com in 1999. In 2011, the company was acquired by Variety and rebranded as Variety Insight.
