Today, MRC Data, in collaboration with Soundtrack Your Brand, released a new report that uncovers the importance of background music as a means of music promotion.  U.S. consumers collectively make over 90 billion business visits each year, and they engage with the music – 79% of people listen to the music in a retail location.  Each visit is an opportunity to expose consumers to new music.
